Five times winner of the Canada Music Competition in his category, Gaël Chabot-Leclerc is a percussionist, entrepreneur and manager specialized in classical music and tango. Alumnus from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Music Business Management, he also holds a Master’s Degree from the Conservatoire de musique de Saguenay, Québec.
In 2008, he had the honor to be part of the first YouTube Symphony Orchestra, which played at a sold out concert at Carnegie Hall, NYC, under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas, conductor of the San Francisco Symphony. In 2010, he founded a tango group, Guardia Nueva, who created the same year, the tango festival called Tang-aux-foins. First tango festival in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and one of the rare in Quebec, 2019 will be its ninth edition.
He currently plays with different ensembles and orchestras around British Columbia.
